Our Task
For this unit, we got into our own group and made a video to inform teenagers of a dangers in social media. (My group was Ray, Miku and me).
Before the filming we first planned out what our message is and who our audience will be and some more important stuff. We used story board to plan out some specific stuff that will happen in the video.
And then we filmed some video using whiteboard.
Our Plan
1. Introduce the most popular social media around teenagers and explain the characteristics of each of them
(use white board and marker to write some key points)
2. Show people an example of how they can be stupid and get tricked just by trusting anyone on social media (twitter)
(use someone in our class, Himeno to film a real life example and make 2 fake accounts on twitter. One for buy followers and one for Himeno)
3. In a transition (in Imovie), write in our message which is "there are many traps that you can fall in so think carefully and ask yourself if it is safe and right thing before your action"
4. Target audience will be teenagers because we thought that teenager is the ages that most of them start using it and they are the most likely to get into trouble and danger without thinking much.
During the Task
While we were filming us, we changed quite a lot of things. One of the big thing that we decided not to do was voice over on imovie. In the story board, we wrote in that we are going to do a voice over for the white board scene because at that time, we thought that it can help people to get the points better. However it took too long filming me and Miku writing on a white board because we couldn't easily find a place to put an iPad (we thought that if we hold the iPad then it would shake a lot and be harder for people to understand what it says on the board). So we actually started filming quite late compared to the other groups and eventually it has led to us without enough time left to do voice over. However I think it is actually not bad because I think people can still catch up with the points without voice over and I don't think it will go together with the background music.
Another thing was that we had struggle deciding our message because the examples that we were going to bring up in the video were all different topics like some of them were about people getting arrested because they used some words like "bomb", "airplane" and "blowup" in a post and some of them were people putting themselves in a trouble by sharing there personal information. So we deleted all the example and decided to do "do not trust anyone on social media because there are lots of trap behind them".
Then we thought that "buy followers" idea matches the best with our main point. In a social media like twitter where you can follow and chat with people, and sometime there are people who is thirsty for more followers and becoming famous and they search for "buy followers" account and pay money to them to earn more followers. However lots of those accounts are just a trick to earn money from people. So we thought that it really matches and since Miku has twitter account, I thought that she can help with this more than anyone without twitter accounts.

Reflection
If I have a chance to do a same thing next time, I would be more careful with my plan making because as I said in the above, during the video making we changed more than half things that we planed and thought of a new ideas. However it took about a class to think of new ideas so next time if we do this task, I would make sure that I can have more time to film and edit the video with enough time. And if we had more time, then I would try to explain what really happened in Himeno's scene because I am pretty sure that some people couldn't understand it because since I was holding camera it could have been difficult for the audience to see what Himeno said to "buy followers" account on twitter message.
